London Underground Victoria, Bakerloo & Northern Lines and London Buses – Blue Straub Moquette Fabric Sold by the Metre

Make something of your own with Blue Straub moquette fabric, sold by the metre for upholstery and creative projects.
Blue Straub's rich blues, turquoise and greens were part of everyday journeys on London's Victoria, Bakerloo and Northern lines and London Transport buses. The geometric moquette was designed by Marianne Straub (1909–1994), whose work spanned the 1951 Festival of Britain, ocean liner interiors and the Victoria Line. When Queen Elizabeth II officially opened the Victoria Line in March 1969, it represented London's confidence in technology and great design, right down to the fabric on its seats.
Product details
Perhaps the most rewarding projects are the ones you design and complete yourself. We sell moquette off the roll, by the linear metre, for your own upholstery and handicraft endeavours. Whether you fancy a set of 4 dining chairs in your favourite design, a footstool in that fabric you travelled to school on or even your own crafting in the fabric you fell in love on , we have rolls of moquette to choose from. Top tip: Moquette looks great when mounted and framed too.
Width is 125cm and all orders are sent as a continuous piece unless otherwise agreed.
Free UK standard delivery. International shipping calculated at checkout.
A little of London's proud design heritage, as relevant today as when it was created.

Moquette is super-duper tough. If it gets a bit dirty, a good firm brush should do the job... For something really stubborn try some carpet cleaner. If in doubt - drop us a line.
