1938 Stock Refurb Week 8

1938 Stock Refurb Week 8

Last time I touched base with you we were almost there with bodywork repairs and had started fitting windows. Since then, we've been busy... Namely with the tidying up of interior fittings, paint undercoats, 1st coats and more window fitting!

LOOK! Our little Underground Train has paint on it - Red London Transport paint! It really does look rather nice - it's starting to look like an actual tube train! I'm excited to see what it'll look like with a couple more coats and a bit of a polish!

As the carriage is nearing the formation of a solid shell. We've shifted some of our attention to the smaller details... Like these metal fixtures from some of our opening windows, that have been stripped, cleaned, sanded and primed. The devil is in the detail as they say.

As well as working on the outside, we've started working on the interior, filling holes, replacing rotten wood and making it a darn site tidier!

Stay tuned for more updates each week. Bye for now. Tom.
