Shed Number 2
London Underground Colindale (leaf) Moquette Phone/Glasses case

This London Underground moquette is a favourite among collectors for its repetitive rural design - apt considering it was fitted to the revolutionary 1938 stock tube train, which carried passengers from the city to the suburbs daily. Its vivid mix of reds and greens in a vertical leaf formation was commissioned by Christian Barman, the then Publicity Officer for London Transport and was designed by Marion Dorn. It’s thought the colour contrast was to accentuate the red action of the city with the green serenity of the capital’s ‘burbs. Found on the brand new trains on the Bakerloo and Northern lines, this timeless classic is available in a variety of product lines.
These high quality, multi-purpose holders are perfect as sunglasses or specs cases. They could even be a classy pochette for your phone. Sold in a variety of moquettes. Dimensions: 17cm x 10cm.

Moquette is super-duper tough. If it gets a bit dirty, a good firm brush should do the job... For something really stubborn try some carpet cleaner. If in doubt - drop us a line.
